We take accountability and show responsibility
Where carbon emissions are out of our control, we do our best to offset the rest and reach carbon neutrality. These projects lower carbon emissions elsewhere and contribute to sustainable development - like our initiative in Virunga, DR Congo, Northern Brazil, and Asia continent-wide. With the help of ClimatePartner, we have neutralised 1,105,380 kg of carbon dioxide emissions.
Global Recycled Standard: SR Mailing = Certified!
SR Mailing 100% recycled mail bags are certified under the Global Recycled Standard (GRS). Our recycled materials comes from film formerly used for agricultural activities - agricultural mulch to be exact. The mulch is picked up locally around the recycling centre, and turned into products using a certified recycling process. We've given this plastic a second life, turning them into our 100% recycled mailing bags!
Home Compostable: Certified under AS5810
Choosing compostable products is a smart, eco-friendly alternative to plastic and paper—but only when they're certified for home composting. That’s why our mailing bags meet the AS5810 Australian standard, ensuring they break down safely in your home compost within 6–12 months, leaving no toxic residue.
This certification means you can confidently compost them at home, knowing they support both sustainability and soil health. Just remember: always check the label—home compostable and industrial compostable are not the same!
Sustainable Packaging Award: E-commerce, Packaging, and Labelling Expo
In February of 2024, we attended a packaging expo where we were given the honour of "Sustainable Packaging of the Year" by demonstrating our compostable bags, 100% recyclable bags, and our ability to meet the needs of the climate and provide sustainable solutions. We were and are still honoured to receive this award, and mark it as a reminder to keep striving to be sustainable and eco-friendly as possible to leave a positive mark on the world.
Launching a KTP Project to Revolutionise Sustainable Packaging with AI
We’re thrilled to announce the launch of an exciting new Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) project between SR Mailing Ltd and the University of Leeds, This initiative brings together industry and academia to co-create innovative solutions for the sustainable packaging sector, aimed at transforming the sustainable packaging industry through Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Large Language Model (LLM) technologies.
With this KTP, SR Mailing is taking a major step toward becoming a sector leader in AI-enhanced sustainability. As we expand our capabilities, we’re building smarter, greener systems—not just for us, but for the future of the packaging industry.
